I believe it therefore I am!

In order for you all to become the best person you wish to be, you must first believe it! Do you think that the astronauts who went to the moon, decided when they were young, that they wanted to be bankers? No! They wanted to be astronauts! They knew they loved the stars, they probably bought books home from the library that were dedicated to this passion, and they decided early on, this is who they were. They did not decide that they were firemen, doctors or a lawyer, they wanted to go to space.

And, if they had the fortune to have motivators who led them into new and innovative places, like a science class that ensured new and best in class knowledge, they were on their path. They had to have positive reinforcement to learn the physics, math and science tools that would ensure they were best in class spacemen themselves. They had to follow the path.

Your intuition knows deep inside of you, what will work best for yourself. Do not let any one person, event, or consequence defer this action from happening. If you are listening to your inner self, and let that problem solver find your path, you only need to follow it. The problem is too many of us listen to other negative and ineffective reasoning before we even get to start out on our paths to greatness. I believe you are who you think you are!

Decide today, what your path is, and never let your mostly negative influences around you stop you from this action. If you listen to yourself, you will be on the right path. Do not stop, keep learning, and open your mind. Get excited, and move yourself into a brave new world.

You are who you believe you are, simple as that!  Your mind is your most important tool you have, do not let yourself down!

Lose Weight and Do It Outside

Outdoor activity needs to be simple, and enjoyable.  If you are working to lose weight, you may have a huge goal that you would like to complete.  Do not hurt yourself, by expecting results instantly!  You need to be kind to yourself, and find good time to work yourself up to your goal, slowly and effectively.

Go for a Nature Walk

It can be simple, take yourself outside, by putting on your walking shoes, and just go to the corner, and see how you feel.  If you are getting some great happy vibes, get going, and go a little further.  Look for found nature, like rocks, pinecones, and brilliant leaves to bring home and make a centerpiece.  If you are not feeling happy about your walk, go home!  You have to do what makes you happy when you are starting out.

Bike if you can

A bike ride can be faster, and make you feel like you are doing more.  You will be tackling hills and traffic, so be sure to take it slow.  If you are finding it stressful and unnerving, turn around and walk the rest of the way home.  The goal is not to ensure you never get on the bike again, but that you really do it again.  The first and second times can be really tricky, but once you find a path you like, and you are actually a mile away from home, what a tremendous amount of happiness that will be!

Take the dogs out

Even if you do not own dogs, why not go to a shelter and walk some very needy friends?   They can show you how happy it is to be outside.  You are building confidence in yourself to be with animals, and they look up to you for their happiness and satisfaction in life.  Do not let a dog down!

You are going to find exercise hard, do not give up.  Do not expect yourself to do this marathon speed at the beginning.  All you need to do is start, and make sure you do not over do it, and expect too much from yourself.  Take in a sunny day, learn to walk amongst the rain drops, and find that rainbow!

You are really going to boost your non-toxic eating habits to a new dimension when you do!

Secrets to Lose Weight

When you take exercise on a long-term measure, you will not have to sweat it up initially.  The goal is to walk, bike or find friends to exercise with, and keep it really simple.  If you use your weight loss exercise program as a fun and happy event, you will do much better than pushing too hard.

Stop Smoking By Gaining Everything

You as a Smoker

Smoke is Invaluable to You

You can quit smoking, and the first step is with you!  Handling your life, you need to evolve into a new and better person, way better than you even can be as a smoker.  If this sound ridiculous, stop living in the past, and work yourself forward!  You can do it, and do it right.

You are a Non-Smoker

If you are ready, take control and think about things in a new and better way.  Open your mind, and remember that you at one time were already a non-smoker.  It is only in your mind that you must smoke, it is part of the addiction.  Once you begin to think again as a non-smoker, you will become that non-smoker once again.  It will be easy, and you have everything to gain.

Nicotine addiction is quick to drop

If you are worried about the many struggles you have had when you tried to quit in the past, stop circling through your life as if it was an every growing smoking life.  You are going to have to adopt your non-smoking path first before you quit.  Do not make cigarettes your crutch, or your precious little value in your life.  The nicotine in your cigarettes will quickly leave your body, and the constant tug will be only in your head after a few days.  That is why it is so difficult to quit if you believe it is.

Your mind is your powerhouse

If you are in the belief that you have everything to gain, and nothing to lose by not smoking, it will happen.  It is a matter of breaking through the constant excuse network you have built up in your brain, and make your excuses really sit as they truly are.  They are not a true course of life, they are your excuses to continue smoking.  If you tear them down, step by step, and really stop believing your smoking mind, you are evolving into the non-smoker you know you already are.

Remember, you have everything to lose as a smoker, and everything to gain as a non-smoker.  You can cure your smoking with a quit, and keep it forever, if you keep your non-smoking steps precious and your cigarettes as the most invaluable tool in your life.

Mice can be Busy in the Fall!

If you are hearing little noises, seeing little black poop everywhere, and getting a real scare at the sight of one mouse here and there, I am sorry to say, but you have mice!  Do not let them grow into a real problem!

They are cute, but do not let those little baby mice grow into the monster mouse problem.  With the longer, warmer summer we have had, they are really doing well in 2010.  It is easier for mice to grow into a nursery setting when the weather is warmer.  They do better in more temperate climates, and do not do so well in cooler to cold climates.  This is the reason, you will see more of them moving around in the fall.

They can squish themselves into a tiny little crack, as long as they can get their heads into this crack.  So, if you have mice, you need to do two things:

1. Trap, trap, trap away!  Buy a bunch of snap traps, and some bait.  You will need to plan your hunt a bit, and learn as much as you can about your mice.  They will not move out on their own, so visit our informational site at http://www.meetyourmouse.com to develop your trap system, and learn what works best for trapping!  It is all there!

If you decide to just trap a couple of times, you will catch the easy mice, sorry to say, but the dumb ones!  The genius of the group will watch his impatient cousin take the snap, and then go to eat the bait.

The plan is important to catch them, and get them all.  It can take time, and if you are afraid of mice, there are great traps, that will catch the mice, but you will not have to see the after effects.  Look for the victor electronic mouse trap.  This is the best trap made!

2.  Seal up your house!  The next step is to seal up those little cracks all around your home.  If you have done this previously, you need to do it again.  A house can move as it ages, and if there were new plumbing, cable, or electrical put into your home, there are new cracks.  Check around windows and make sure you are finding the new cracks there.  Seal off with caulk, and expandable foam, making sure you use minimal amount of foam.  Steel wool, copper mesh wool works great, cause little teeth can not chew through this stuff.

Happy hunting!

Stop Smoking With Your Brain

You have the power to stop smoking, and it all comes from your ability to decide to quit smoking, and actually follow through with this decision.  This is the biggest step.  If you decide to quit, you are already a non-smoker!  It really is that easy!

Use your Mind to Quit Smoking

If you are ready, you have the power to stop this evil trend, and break free!  How amazing would it be to not be in the chains of this addiction? Would you be happy to feel like you have power over your life once again?  I bet you would be super relieved!

So, how do you actually do this?  By tearing down the excuses you have built into your mind as a smoker.  Stop, and think about it.  You have a ton of excuses that can destroy you by ensuring you continue to smoke.  You are the one that has control of this addiction!  Break free from your excuses, and challenge yourself.

Excuses that are Built by the Brain that Smokes

Here are some really crazy excuses for you to start working on.  Do not worry, you can find the truth to set you free!

1.  I enjoy smoking

2.  Smoking feels good

3.  I am never going to be a non-smoker again

4.  I am always going to smoke, it is who I am.

5. Smoking calms me down, and makes me calm.

6. I am much more confident as a smoker.

7.  I have so much time to quit.

8.  I will get fat if I quit.

9.  I am going through a tough time right now, I can not quit until I get past this period in my life.

10.  Quitting is for other people.

I bet I have just skimmed the top of the barrel on your excuses.  If you really think about it, these are only your attempt to make your current mindset still work for you.  If you believe that you really enjoy smoking, why are you so sad when you think about being addicted to cigarettes?  Are you truly finding pleasure in something that rules your  mind, makes you do things you wish you did not have to complete, and constantly keeps you feeling like you have to be smoking?

Keep your excuses, or change your life.  You have the power to use your strength and your conviction to quit.

Mice and Fall

Mice like to head inside when the leaves start changing, and the temperatures start to drop.  They like the fall, because there is a lot of food around, and they usually will stay outside until the temperature drops to around freezing.  You may notice the first of your winter mice coming in around the middle of november.

If this is to be prevented, now is the time to do so.  If you have any cracks, openings or little areas of entrance, you need to seal up those cracks as best you can.  Using silicon caulk, steel wool mesh, and even sometimes in bigger cracks, the expandable foam, will be your best bet.

Areas to check around your home:

Garage doors

Look around where the door meets the floor, and make sure you do not see any light.  If there is a crack of more than 1/4″, you may need to have your door adjusted, or repaired.  There are great rubber strips for garage doors, and you can get them at any hardware store.  An old rubber strip will be less tight, and a new one, which may cost around $20 will be a great way to have your door sit firming on the ground.  Look for light around the bottom of the door, near the rails, as these are mouse doors if not plugged up.  Use firm materials to block the entrance, and ensure your work has not affected how your garage door works.

Windows and doors

Check along the bottom on the doors and windows, and around the seal against the house.  If you have ground level doors and windows, those should be checked first.  Then move on to the second story, balconies, and upper windows.   Mice can crawl along pipes and wires, and if the entrance is along an attic window, they will follow their buddies to get up there.  They love the adventure!

Siding and plumbing areas

Any crack, big enough for a 1/4″ is big enough for a mouse to squeeze into.  Check around the siding, the window frames, plumbing into the house, AC exchange entrance, fireplaces, and any ground level area where the siding meets the foundation.  Be sure to caulk any areas that are open, and make repairs.

Once you do this, you are going to find you have made your home more energy efficient, and mouse proof.  Better be safe than sorry!

Your papers and YOU!

If you are constantly dealing with cluttered piles of paper, you are not alone.  Only less than 20 years ago, there were fewer office supply stores, less paper copy facilities, and way less printers in business.  It is the information age, and paper has yet to depart our dear homes and offices.

The paperless office is not going to happen any time soon.  People love to hold a page in their hands, see the glossy color copy, and absorb the information from that perspective.  They can take it with them, share it with friends and colleagues, and take action with that page.

Surely, we will evolve into an electronic page soon.  But until that time, we all are stuck on those physical pieces of information.

You need to absorb this one idea when it comes to paper; if it can be produced electronically with an internet search or a scan, toss it!

If there is not one reason on this planet for you to keep that page, send it back to the recycling effort.  You need to let it flow back into the recycling center nearest you, very, very soon.

If you can not recycle, and need to store,  here is a mind process to follow.  Learn how to handle the storage process, and revisit the most important idea, to either recycle or save.

1.  Look objectively at any piece of paper, and think how the information needs to be archived.

If you are constantly taking information, and saving it until you can find time to review it, stop.  You are never going to find the time to read that piece.  It just is not going to happen, as there are going to be new and more coming at you very very soon!  I would say, save it, if the new information was not coming.  If the end of the world came today, of course, there would be no more printed pages.  Then that information would be precious.   However, it can only be as good as the day it was created.  Either scan or recycle.  Scan or recycle.

2.  Can you live happily without taking any action on that page?

Sometimes, we build up big ideas of what we need to do with information.  Do you really need to keep it?  If it has collected dust, and you have decided you are going to write a book on that stack, when are you?  Is the information available now elsewhere?  Have you realized that the book idea could be better handled in another way?  Could it just have evolved into a new and better idea?  Stop living in the past, and recycle that stack, or place a fire under your action list, and take care of it within a certain amount of time.  If you give yourself 2 weeks to act on it, and you do not within that time, it is time to recycle or scan.

3.  The only forms to really save

We try this excuse any time we do not know what to do with our legal and lifestyle papers.  If you need it for record keeping, it should be archived, and away from your general life.  Rent a storage locker, hire a neighbor to help you scan all the materials, or simply shred them all.  You need to keep tax forms for 7 years, you need receipts for 1 year, you need to keep any medical files only if you have ongoing medical issues or legal cases pending.  After that point of resolution, you only need to keep them for 1 year, and then they can be shredded.  How good will it feel to remove this problem from your life!  If you have stacks of warranty cards, instructional brochures, maps to places you have visited, trip receipts, fund prospectus copies, medical bills and information, shred them.  You can retrieve them online easily with a search, or a credit card statement search.

Emotion can drive us to live forever in stacks and stacks of papers.  The constant reminder of things we are always hoping to conquer and conclude can be exhausting.  Do not do this to yourself.  Learn how to relieve your life from this stress.

You have the power over the paper.  Let it go…
